Reducing Noise and Vibration in a High Street Retail Environment
The brief
The project involved providing an acoustic flooring solution for a high street retail premises, where heavy refrigeration units and other commercial equipment needed to be accommodated. The key objective was to create a stable flooring foundation capable of supporting heavy equipment while reducing the transmission of noise and vibration throughout the building.
New Era’s Silent Ply system was selected to help minimise unwanted impact noise and improve the acoustic performance of the floor, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment for both staff and customers.
Scope of Work
Supply of the New Era Silent Ply acoustic flooring system across 300m². The system was specified to provide an acoustic flooring solution beneath heavy refrigeration units and consumer equipment, helping reduce noise transmission and vibration while providing a suitable foundation for the demands of a busy retail environment.
