Knightsbridge Prestige:
New Era Acoustic Cradle System
The brief
For this prestigious Knightsbridge development, the New Era Acoustic cradle system was deployed to fully comply with Building Regulations Approved Document E, ensuring best-in-class sound insulation..
The installation featured a floor build-up with a height ranging from 125–165 mm, achieved using 46 mm battens spaced at 400 mm centres, onto which 22 mm tongue-and-groove plywood was meticulously glued and screwed. This design created a perfectly acoustically isolated sub-floor, ideal for both carpet and oak flooring installations
Scope of Work
